Competitive Program Information:
Interclub competitive gymnasts learn rhythmic skills, which are then included in choreography for the purpose of competition. Competition for interclub stream gymnasts are held locally and provincially. Participation is optional in any event. Interclub gymnasts MUST participate in any interclub competitive experience hosted by CARGO. This means interclub students will participate in one or two local competitions.
More advanced interclub gymnasts have the opportunity to participate in local, provincial and out-of-province competitions. Again, these are optional.
Interclub competitions generally do not rank gymnasts. Gymnasts participate and receive a feedback sheet. They also receive a score, which is compared to a scale of achievement. This is why at interclub events, many students can receive gold medals as long as they all achieve a score within specific parameters.
